This role is for ensuring emergency support to the Rohingya as part of Christian Aid’s emergency programme. We are looking for a person who is already working in international organisation as a manager or within a team having experience in similar area in Bangladesh or any other countries. You’ll see this as an excellent opportunity to manage and lead strategic programming and multi-stakeholder partnership on emergency response for on-going Rohingya crisis for implementation, monitoring, direct supervision and the overall response operation management in Cox’s Bazar of Bangladesh. The Emergency Response Manager (ERM)-Rohingya Crisis Response for Christian Aid’s Bangladesh country office will be responsible for coordinating with local government, NGO coordination task teams and all project stakeholders. The ERM will develop the implementation plan, guidelines and necessary monitoring tools across all project activities. S/he will develop regular implementation and monitoring reports and documents for focal persons related to intervention. S/he will need to take on challenges to ensure a rapid, effective and timely response, holding overall responsibility for project achievements and results. The person should have clear understanding on humanitarian architecture of Bangladesh, over all coordination mechanism and has experience to work in adverse situation to manage crisis. About The role We are looking for candidate having a high level of commitment to bringing transformational change to the lives of poor and disaster-affected communities. The incumbent is expected to possess a post graduate degree in a Disaster Management, or a development related discipline, with substantial and relevant programme management experience, including finance management of projects and programmes in the field humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction or disaster preparedness. Other essentials are experience of implementing programmes through a partnership approach; good knowledge of managing institutional donors supported programme ,experience in programme appraisal, monitoring and evaluation; training and capacity building, excellent IT skills and language skills in English.
